Legal Basis of Establishment
Pt Sekar Laut Tbk. established based on notarial deed No. 120 dated July 19, 1976 from Soetjipto, SH, notary in Surabaya. The deed of establishment of this Entity has been approved by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Indonesia in his decree No. Y.A.5/56/1 dated March 1, 1978 and announced in the State Gazette No. 87, additional No. 984 October 30, 1987.
Operational Areas
PT Sekar Laut Tbk operates in Sidoarjo and Cikarang, Indonesia. Our main factory in Sidoarjo produces crackers, chili sauce and bun. Meanwhile the Cikarang factory produces bun. The head office of PT Sekar Laut Tbk. operates in Surabaya.
During 2023, there were no significant changes in the are of operation or the supply chain. In addition, there was no opening or closing of branches or changes in ownership structure.
Company History
PT Sekar Laut Tbk is a company engaged in the business of manufacturing, agriculture, trading and development, especially in the food and beverage sub sector. The products produced include: crackers, tomato sauces, chili sauces, and buns. The Company started in 1966 as a home industry that supplied marine product and trading, in Sidoarjo City, East Java. The business expanded and developed a shrimp cracker factory which was the forerunner.
Through perseverance, the pioneering business developed rapidly. With the founders quickly turning a small home industry into a shrimp cracker company. PT Sekar Laut Tbk, was officially founded on July 19, 1976 in the form of a limited liability company. The process of making crackers was developed with modern technology, prioritizing quality and hygiene. The company’s products are currently not only marketed locally, but also exported overseas.
The Company develops and produces crackers, tomato sauces, chili sauces, cooking spices, buns and other snacks. The Company’s products are marketed under the “FINNA” brand.
The Company’s products are made from natural ingredients and processed hygienically, so they are safe to eat, healthy and can be enjoyed by the people of Indonesia and around the world. The Company also works with other food company to supply food products according to their individual needs.
To date, the Company continues to innovate products and to improve its quality through the fulfillment of national and international product standards. The Company continually makes efforts to integrate quality control, production, product development in order to deliver quality products required by the community.
The Company’s distributor is its subsidiary company, PT Pangan Lestari, which has distribution centers in eight regions, namely Sidoarjo, Bali, Jakarta, Malang, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Semarang and Makassar.
Until 2023, PT Sekar Laut Tbk. has 2.143 employees.
September 8, 1993 was PT Sekar Laut Tbk.’s inaugural shares trading on the Jakarta Stock Exchange and Surabaya, making PT Sekar Laut Tbk. a listed company whose shares can be traded by the public, and investors could see corporate disclosures objectively.
Change of Company Name
From the establishment until the Company listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the Company has never made any name changes. The Company only acquired the additional status of “Tbk.” (listed) when PT Sekar Laut T bk. became a public company.
